In Maps we have talked about how nice it would be if we could integrate
contact data. For instance if we could route to a contact or search
for a contact in the main search.
Is it today possible to get the data from the backend in some way?
What would need to be done in contacts to enable this?
Hi, thanks for reply!
For displaying contact details, you might want to just open Contacts to
view a specific contact. For tighter integration, e.g. displaying
contacts on a map, you should use libfolks directly, which is the
backend Contacts uses.
Yeah, it's the tighter integration we are after foremost. So we use libfolks
directly, any pointer on where to look in your code base to get a feel
of what Maps need to do?
We are hoping to get an OPW intern to work at this, so some simple
pointers might be nice.
Depends on the specific features you want to implement, really.
Thanks!
