I simply think it is not a complex task to move to the new interface. This
can be done within a day or so.

As michael already pointed out not changing the API now leads
to much work in the future. Many application will use bonobo and the
broken Storage API. What you suggest is:
please don't change anything - else we have to make some changes in
our code. Instead it is better if we freeze the API now, neglecting
the fact that this will lead to much work for many other people.
I strongly suggest to make the changes now, and I don't understand
why we delay necessary changes only because of nautilus.
And I consider supporting both APIs as a joke.
