We plan to fix these API limitations for gnome-vfs in future
releases. I doubt Nautilus will be changed to stop using gnome-vfs
unless an overwhelmingly better solution presents itself. I doubt
Storage and Stream will be it any time soon since they are not async
and can't be used from multiple threads because ORBit is not
threadsafe, so we could not use them without making the Nautilus UI
block all the time.
