I think the idea is from Miguel, so maybe we should ask him.
This would also imply that we have to extend the Storage
interface to support all features of the filesystem (symbolic links,
access rights, ...)

gnome-vfs URIs has some drawbacks and there are still some
unresolved issues (how to handle passwords). I wonder if
monikers can provide a clean solution for that.
