I do realize that sometimes you need to request a specific component,
though I think such cases should be minimal (see my response to
Martin's mail). I was asking Jody if he had any other specific
concerns.

"those huge UUIDs" are the essentially the only way to activate (and
the only way to QueryInterface) in MS-land. I honestly don't think
they are that bad. In fact, you argued that they were a good idea last
time this came up.
