Are you able to try the hardware on a different computer?

I've just tried an old laptop. Here's what happens:

1. the first time, when I hit Apply, I'm redirected to the color manager window
2. the second time I try, the application crashes

this is dmesg:

I've just tried another computer (my desktop PC at work) and I get a different error. This is related to udev, I hope it's easier to sort it out:

I have /lib/udev/usb-db but usb-db is not in the PATH (I have only usb-devices in the path). Also I don't have the directory /devices
