Hello,
Unfortunately, "make default" will not apply your selected profiles to
the login screen, you have to do it yourself.
As root copy /usr/share/applications/gcm-prefs.desktop to
/usr/share/mdm/autostart/LoginWindow, reload GDM, preferences window
should show up where you can apply profiles to the devices. Then you can
remove gcm-prefs.desktop from LoginWindow folder, profiles should be
applied whenever you load the login screen.
In Debian there's only:
$ ls /usr/share/applications/gcm-
gcm-calibrate.desktop gcm-picker.desktop
gcm-import.desktop gcm-viewer.desktop
What about the following solution?

I've added to /etc/gdm3/Init/Default the following line before "exit 0":
/usr/bin/dispwin /home/fede/.local/share/icc/LP154WX4-TLC2\
i1DisplayPro\,ColorMunkiDisplay\ 2012-06-03\ D6500\ 2.2\ MQ-HQ\
3xCurve+MTX.icc
not tested yet
