It's not a problem of Debian.
I've tried the latest colorhug liveCD (running Fedora) and this doesn't
detect the ColorMunki:

Can anyone who owns a ColorMunki Display confirm it?
Oh, a ColorMunki _Display_.... When you say just "ColorMunki" people
think you mean the spectrophotometer not the colorimeter :/
Look at the subject :-)
It was also in dmesg and dispcal output I posted in my first email
It does seem to be present in Argyll's udev rules:
ATTRS{idVendor}=="0765", ATTRS{idProduct}=="5020",
ENV{COLOR_MEASUREMENT_DEVICE}="1"
And even colord's:
69-cd-sensors.rules:ATTRS{idVendor}=="0765", ATTRS{idProduct}=="5020",
ENV{GCM_COLORIMETER}="1", ENV{GCM_KIND}="i1-display3",
ENV{GCM_TYPE_DISPLAY}="1", ENV{GCM_TYPE_PROJECTOR}="1",
ENV{GCM_TYPE_SPOT}="1"
Can you make sure that's true for your system as well?
Yes, I can confirm both.
In fact Argyll already detects it.
$ cat 69-cd-sensors.rules | grep i1-display3
ATTRS{idVendor}=="0765", ATTRS{idProduct}=="5020",
ENV{GCM_COLORIMETER}="1", ENV{GCM_KIND}="i1-display3",
ENV{GCM_TYPE_DISPLAY}="1", ENV{GCM_TYPE_PROJECTOR}="1",
ENV{GCM_TYPE_SPOT}="1"
