Hi,
I am in the process of trying to set up a fully colour managed system from Camera (Canon Eos5Dmk2), Asus 24" ArtPro monitor and Canon Wide format printer (iPF5100). While researching this I came across the article 'Richard Hughes on color management in Linux & Gnome'.
I currently use as my O/S, Scientific Linux6.1 (With Gimp & Darktable) and would like to try out the color manager. I note that Color Manager has been available since Gnome 2.30, I believe that SL6.1 uses Gnome 2.30.2 but unable to find it installed on my system. Can you advise the best way to install? I have looked at several repositories but unable to find rpm to download and install. The other thought was to upgrade to a newer version of Gnome but again this seems to be not an easy task. I do not necessarily want to go to Gnome 3. I would appreciate any thoughts/advice that you can give.
Many Thanks
John
