gcm not working for second logged in user

Hi,

It was reported earlier on IRC that g-c-m doesn't work for the second
logged in user -- the applet starts and then closes itself. The user
who reported that moved from 2.31.1 back to 2.30.0(-0ubuntu3) and
still experiences the issue.
