Hi Nagappan.

It should be possible to add the LDTP testcases as a module within the
gnome-2.14-testsuite.modules moduleset; this would allow tinderbox to
pull the tests direct from the CVS server and run them.

To do this you'll need to have the dependencies set up to build the LDTP
C library and the python wrappings for it, these would need to be set up
elsewhere in jhbuild.

I see both LDTP and Dogtail as providing technologies that allow test
scripts to be written; additionally the LDTP team has gone the extra
step and created a large body of tests (I see Dogtail here in more of an
"enabling maintainers to write tests for their module" role than a
"writing tests" role).

There are differences in the technical approaches taken by each of the
two projects; I see this as providing more equipment for module
maintainers and the bug team to write and manage the tests they need;
they can choose the approach they feel most comfortable with. I
personally find Dogtail's API to be much nicer than LDTP's, but I have
an obvious bias in this, of course.

Thanks for the pointer. Zack has been coding furiously (I've been stuck
in meetings all day, alas)...
