ANNOUNCE: Tomboy 0.12.0 Released (Stable Release for GNOME 2.24)

Hi Everyone,

This email is to announce Tomboy 0.12.0. This is the beginning of the
stable 0.12.x series and will coincide with GNOME 2.24.x.

Tomboy has been branched as "gnome-2-24" for stable (0.12.x)
development. SVN trunk is now open for new feature development

What is Tomboy

Tomboy is a simple personal note-taking application designed to be
unobtrusive and friendly, while supporting inter-note-links similar to
a WikiWikiWeb to help you organize your notes and ideas. It can run
either as a GNOME panel applet or a notification tray icon.

The next six months...

My plans for the next release cycle include:
* Full Windows/Mac support
* Performance improvements
* Fixing some long-standing bugs, and general polish

Other ideas floating around include:
* Note attachments
* Image support
* Including Gabriel Marcondes' Voice Notes add-in
* Note collaboration and sharing

But we haven't had our roadmap meeting yet, so we'll see what the rest
of the community is interested in working on. Keep an eye on tomboy-list
for scheduling of this public meeting.

Big Thank You
