Table of Contents

1) Interview with Miguel
2) Write Docs!
3) Control Center Release
4) GNOME Mailer
5) Hacking Activity
6) New and Updated Software
A bit late and a bit slim this week; we had a large meeting with all
the developers, and I spent a lot of time organizing and summarizing
that. However, hopefully we have some infrastructure in place to keep
track of our progress toward the next release. We also made some
decisions about our future roadmap. I'll try to report on some of these
things in next week's summary.
==============================================================
1) Interview with Miguel
--------------------------------------------------------------
Miguel chats with LinuxWorld magazine about future GNOME plans:
http://www.linuxworld.com/linuxworld/linuxworldtoday/lwt-indepth8.html
==============================================================
2) Write Docs!
--------------------------------------------------------------
Dave has a particularly inspired call to write API docs this week:
http://www.gnome.org/mailing-lists/archives/gnome-list/1999-August/0844.shtml
The docs really are moving along, we just need those final few sections.
==============================================================
3) Control Center Release
--------------------------------------------------------------
Control Center 1.0.6 is out. See www.gnome.org. UI Properties capplet
is much nicer in this release, and some bugs are fixed.
==============================================================
4) GNOME Mailer
--------------------------------------------------------------
Bertrand sent in this status report on the GNOME Mailer:
http://www.gnome.org/mailing-lists/archives/gnome-mailer-list/1999-August/0035.shtml
If you're interested in hacking on this, sign up for the mailing list
and check out the CVS module. Should be a cool project, and there's
already lots of progress.
