Re: modified webcam software for visually impaired

Hey

I am using Fedora where it works, not Ubuntu, but it seems likefrei0r-plugins is pulling in an incomplete opencv package. seehttps://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/opencv/+bug/459940

The workaround they suggest is to removefrei0r-plugins which is not an option since you need it.

Try installinglibcv-dev since it contains the missing file.

Cheers,
Eitan.

Ok,
I got that GUI and also:

petra HP550:/home/psychopetra/Plocha$ gstreamer-properties
gstreamer-properties-Message: Skipping unavailable plugin 'artsdsink'
gstreamer-properties-Message: Skipping unavailable plugin 'esdsink'
gstreamer-properties-Message: Skipping unavailable plugin 'glimagesink'
gstreamer-properties-Message: Skipping unavailable plugin 'sdlvideosink'
gstreamer-properties-Message: Skipping unavailable plugin 'v4lmjpegsrc'
gstreamer-properties-Message: Skipping unavailable plugin 'qcamsrc'
gstreamer-properties-Message: Skipping unavailable plugin 'esdmon'
petra HP550:/home/psychopetra/Plocha$

And all looks to be OK, testing also works. However, the problem remains:

petra HP550:/home/psychopetra/Plocha$ gst-launch-0.10 autovideosrc !
ffmpegcolorspace ! frei0r-filter-bw0r !
ERROR: Could not load classifier cascade
/usr/share/opencv/haarcascades/haarcascade_frontalface_alt2.xml
VAROV chybnoura: propojenez elementu spote
petra HP550:/home/psychopetra/Plocha$

I added some screenshots so maybe there is somewhere incorrectly set.
