They have been doing a *bunch* of development on vte. You should read
the ChangeLog. (Would that I could summon the energy of Chris
Wilson...) Anyhoo, is backspacing working as expected? And what about
updating the screen contents? If you're still having problems and you
post something reproducible, I would be happy to try it out here.
Take care.

Oops, looks like the svn got fixed just after I sent my message. The
errors are gone now, and the svn does build.

Hi Kenny.
I also saw the backspace problem with vte-0.15.2, and that problem was
resolved afterwards. What compile errors are you getting?
keymap.c: In function '_vte_keymap_map':
keymap.c:964: error: implicit declaration of function '_vte_keysym_name'
keymap.c:964: warning: nested extern declaration of '_vte_keysym_name'
keymap.c:964: warning: format '%s' expects type 'char *', but argument 2
has type 'int'
