Re: A couple of OpenOffice questions

Hi Peter and Krister.

Actually, things with the OOo 2.0.3 that comes with Ubuntu Edgy are, at
the moment, pretty bad. The act of saving a file reliably causes an
immediate crash followed by the document recovery process. Bleeding
edge and all....

Krister, in answer to your question: When the crash occurs, the Save
dialog is present; it simply doesn't have focus. So you can Alt Tab
into it. After you save your document, you can work your way out of the
resulting recovery dialogs. Personally, I can't be bothered. <smile>
What I've done instead is installed OOo from openoffice.org. It's quite
stable and solves the problem in question.

Hope this helps!
Joanie
