Am sending christian's post to the list; it's good to know I'm not
the only one with this problem. btw apparently this list is set so
that replies go to individuals rather than the list so you have to
consciously check the address if you want to make sure it goes to the
list.

Hi Cheryl,
Oh, you just saved me another CD!
I just had a sighted friend here who is not very used to computers,
but he told me that the Linux kernel was loading but after a minute
or so the screen became blank. We waited about four minutes after I
just for fun pressed any key but nothing happened!
I really hope that they get this resolved soon since I want to try
out Orca!
All the best,
Christian

you have my sympathy!!! Join the club; I can't boot edgy ex86 either
and I'm tired of mwasting blank cds. Since I don't have sighted help
I don't know for sure what the problem is but I am not even sure it's
getting to the boot prompt. It just goes back and tries to reboot the
computer over and over again and if I type something and hit enter
when I hear the cd spinning it reboots immediately. Very
disappointing as Dapper drake booted fine. But I'm sure if I just
wait a while somebody will eventually get to the bottom of the
problem.
