Re: lsr-0.3.0 and speech-dispatcher



You can configure lsr to prefer using Festival through gnome-speech at
the command line and ignore speech dispatcher. This would at least
give you speech back. Do the following:

lsr -a FestivalSpeech -p user --index=0

Then run LSR normally.

Actually, lsr doesn't speak at all now that I have the speech-dispatcher
python module installed.  In fact I can tell that nothing at all
happens, but sometimes I get some kind of error window that I can see
pop up but can't read.  No error is displayed on the console where x
started and I can't get the settings window to pop up to even try to
change the speech device, although I probably wouldn't be able to do
that since it isn't speaking at all.
