Orca and Openoffice

Hi all,
Yesterday I downloaded the Ubuntu 6.10 release and I was able to run it without any problems. However, when I decided to give Openoffice a try, the word processor Orca crashed, or at least I got no speech. Will Orca work with Openoffice on this Ubuntu Live CD?
