problems accessing gnome cvs

Hi,

I just finished installing fc6 onto my desktop, and want to test some changes to gnome-speech in cvs, but when I try to login to the anonymous cvs server it just hangs.

I followed the instruction on the gnome development page, set my CVSROOT to :pserver:annonymous anoncvs org/cvs/gnome
typed cvs login
got the cvs password prompt
pressed enter

and I just sit there until I get a timed out message.

I tried disabling my iptables just incase those were the problem but no difference.

Any suggestions appreciated.
