Hi. I've notice I can no longer add a clock to my pannel because it
constantly updates the time. Is anyone else having this problem? I
would like to know if my problem is Debian specific or a general Gnome
change.
I am not sure whether the default behavior of the clock is to 'show
seconds' or not.
However I believe you can set this from gconftool-2 (without adding it
to your panel),
on my system the gconf key is
/apps/panel/profiles/default/applets/clock/prefs/show_seconds
which you could set to 'false' with
gconftool-2 -s -t bool
/apps/panel/profiles/default/applets/clock/prefs/show_seconds false
I'm using Gnome 2.8 from Debian unstable.
Thanks in advance.
Kenny
