Hi, you can logout of Gnome 2.4.0 by doing the following:

1. alt-f1 for the main menu.
2. Arrow up until you hear logout.
3. Press enter on logout.
4. You are now in a dialog. In this dialog you can save the current session
profile, you can toggle the logout radio button to logout, shutdown, or
restart. Select your logout type, and tab to ok.
