nautilus question

Hello,
In Marc's acb main menu presentation, he was able to bring up a file in
gedit by entering on the file in nautilus.  In my configuration, this does
not work.  When I enter on a file, I don't get any buttons prompting me to
open with gedit.  Gedit itself seems to operate the way Marc's did during
the demo.

Do I need to upgrade nautilus?
