Re: openoffice 1.1 beta 2 accessibility

Hi
I see no such files as you have described. Were they not included in beta 2 for some reason? Also, there is absolutely no output from the applications when run. I've tried reinstalling beta 2 to no effect. I'm going to try the staroffice beta and see if I have any better luck with that.

Is OpenOffice.org launched from the command line ? If so, you should see some output in that console saying something like "Registering Application".

If this does not happen, ensure you have gconftool-2 in your path and OpenOffice.org is compiled using a jdk >= 1.4: the <install path>/program/classes must contain a java_uno_accessbridge.jar file.

Also make sure to select the accessible jre: take a look at <install path>/user/config/javarc and check the configured jre. To alter the jre, run jvmsetup from the program directory.
