Re: Speech has died - How do I discover the cause and fix?

Hi, Gena.
One thing I forgot to mention in my prier post is you can also simply remove
the extra speech drivers which you aren't planning on using.
I was having troubles earlier forcing gnopernicus to switch to Freetts, and
I solved the issue by removing the Dectalk and Festival speech drivers from
my /usr/lib/bonobo/server directory.
Once removed gnopernicus started up with Freetts on all my user accounts. So
that might be an option to concidder if you want to force gnopernicus to
only use one particular synth.
Hth.
