Well, Sander is going to post a list of core GNOME components for comment
soon (this was in the G2RT minutes for this week). So that will go a long
way to accomplishing the first point.

We need that list to publish officialish comments on the second point, but
it's certainly not necessary before we can discuss it.

My post wasn't really clear to that effect - dotPlan is the place to list
and maintain the goals we have for the release, and I'd like to assist in
maintaining it. It's certainly been put to me to initiate it.

We haven't been very noisy so far... But I couldn't see anything approaching
