I know it's been quite a while, but I was just wondering if the code for
this is still available somewhere and what license it's under. I know I
downloaded the code at some point, but can't find it any longer. 

It would be very cool to add this at least to the examples code in GNet
(or maybe even as proper API one day when the spec is implemented a bit
more fully).
