Hello!
Gnac has the same matter with mp3's caused by Gstreamer limitations/"deep" settings as Soundconverter did, according to https://bugs.launchpad.net/soundconverter/+bug/881413.

Can this be fixed?

The latest version of SoundConverter really did fixed the problem.
Here's screens of the same file encoded by Gnac and SoundConverter:

You can see that in Gnac's file there's a "cut" near 16 kHz even though it has higher bitrate.
