ok, it seems to work for me to just build it using a copy of the
.metadata file from git.

that's also fine with me.  pretty much anything is better than
GMIME_2_6_21 :)

Thanks for having a 2.6.x branch for stable maintenance.  I've got no
preference on naming that i'm aware of.
