Bakery 2.5 is the unstable release series of the bakery-2.6 API:
http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/bakery/2.5/

I believe that Ubuntu has packaged Glom 1.7.x for Ubuntu Intrepid. Maybe
you could use their work.
