Well it's very simple, Rawhide *only* includes libgda 1.9.100 as of today.

or in CVS ? Or should i package the old libgda 1.3 seperately
(as a 'compat' package) ?


Yes. I'm pretty sure that it was in previous versions of fedora/redhat
so that should be wasy.
