[Glade-users] Im a newbie.

Hi all,
        I'm new to glade and C++ and all these wonderful new ways to write programs.
I'd like to start out by writing a program that can read the text from a 
single line file every few seconds and then it starts another program when 
that text has been changed to a particular string, and then it closes itself.


Could someone please point me in the right direction.
