[Glade-devel] Non window toplevel widgets

Hi,

Since it was decided to remove code generation from glade-3 I've been 
working on creating a gladexml to gob utility (still very buggy/kludgy 
at the mo).

I've noticed that if you 'root' the tree at a non-toplevel widget the 
code I get is exactly the same to the code described in chapter 21 of 
the GTK tutorial (and very useful for creating mdi style interfaces), 
lots of people seem to do much the same thing using the domain argument 
to glade_xml_new.

I was wondering, since it's such a benificial hack, if it would be a 
good idea to allow non-window toplevel widgets in glade-3?
