[gitg] Gitg on Debian squeeze

Hi,

As reported in a recent bug, current gitg does not compile on Debian
squeeze because it effectively depends on glib 2.26 (and not glib 2.24
as declared in configure.ac).

I did some changes in order to be able to compile and run gitg on
Debian squeeze. Please, apply the patches attached to bug.
