[Gimp-user] Can't display GIMP save progress

Hi.

I recently had to reinstall my Ubuntu online machine.   I am now
using GIMP v2.10.18, which I think is the same version I was using
before reinstalling.

When I saved something to my online library, using GIMP, I used to see
a horizontal bar appear near the bottom of the GIMP display; this line
filled from left to right as the save proceeded.

I can not get that horizontal bar to appear again, although I have
searched the GIMP display for it.

How do I enable the horizontal bar?
