Hello I am wanting to change the gimp default background to a lighter color that is more natural. I did not
care for the >default themes. What are my options?
Creating your own theme is possible.

you're welcome to a copy of it.
I've modified one of the supplied themes, mostly separating out the colour definitions to make it easier to
modify, although several of the UI elements are defined by images which need to be mangled manually.
