I was wondering if anyone knows how to transfer my past work i the GIMP

Ted
The GIMP's native file format ( .xcf :
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=.xcf&atb=v140-1&ia=web ) should be forward compatible
with newer versions of GIMP or Windows. Note however that it is sometimes
compressed as *.xcf.gz ; *.xcf.bz2 ; *.xcf.xz ; etc. Anyway, you should be able
to just copy over the files somehow and it will work.
Regards,
