I'll state the obvious, which you have probably checked out. The "Stroke
Path" setting has an option called "Line Style". That gives you "Dash
Preset" as an option. One of the options in Dash Preset (a bit of a
misnomer, IMHO. Simply "Preset" might have been better) is "Line". Make sure
LINE is your choice for a solid line.

Subject: [Gimp-user] Path Tool Gaps
I actually had this problem around last year as well, until I somehow
unintentionally solved it.
Here's the Problem: Whenever I stroke using the Path Tool, it frequently
leaves
little gaps in the path. The size and number of the gaps depends on the
shape,
but it's very frequent. I've fumbled around with the stroke settings
multiple
times, and it still persists.
As I mentioned, I somehow managed to solve this error, as I didn't have it
at
all, until I accidentally clicked "Reset" on the Path tool menu, which
brought
the problem back, so I know there is a fix somewhere.
The Version I'm currently using is GIMP 2.10.8 on Windows 10, but this
problem
has been around since 2.8 I think.
I also have a video that shows the error if I am allowed to post a link to
it.
