I'm not a fan of watermarks personally, but it's something you could do

Some folks have even gone so far as to make a "copyright" brush that they
can use to stamp directly onto any images.
If you need to do this for many images quickly you can use Imagemagick:

You can also use exiftool to add to the EXIF data:

Is there a way to either add a watermark, or at minimum, set the EXIF

I would be happy to install a plugin if one was required.  However, I have
