At the bottom of the page you will see this:

"To unsubscribe from gimp-user-list, get a password reminder, or change
your subscription options enter your subscription email address:"

Fill in the blank, push the button, and check your e-mail.

You will need the password you signed up with to unsubscribe.  If you
don't have it, you can get it via e-mail.
