- a non-existing-, never-ever-have-existed- or even
what-is-a-floppy-drive delaying file dialogs. Can be switched off in the
BIOS of computer management, see the article for more info.

But this is a delay of seconds, and I guess you waited that long.


Network shares have been reported to cause longer delays, especially if
they can't be connected to.
