[Gimp-user] Version Question

My version of GIMP says 2.8.6. Downloaded from the GIMP site. Is
this newer or older than 2.8.14? Did I get a beta version?
After some research, I realized that, oddly enough, version 2.8.6is older than
2.8.14, so I just downloaded and installed 2.8.14.
