[Gimp-user] SF-FILENAME for output files

I have a script-fu program which among other things needs to create an
output text file to go along with a bunch of image files it creates.
When I use SF-FILENAME in my script-fu-register call, that seems to want
to find a file which already exists (like a file->open dialog) instead
of a file to save as (like file->save as dialogs).  Does gimp have
something like this?
