Created %APPDATA%\gtk-2.0\gtkfilechooser.ini (ie c:Documents and 
Settings\Admin\Application Data\gtk-2.0\gtkfilechooser.ini) by copying 
the one I have under Linux, and checked for LF only, startet Gimp, 
"File/Open..."... and still no joy :(
