[Gimp-developer] Compiling on Mac OSX

Hi all,
I've recently become interested in building gimp from source on OSX
and its been far more complicated than I though it would be.
I found a post on the old mailing list by Tim Chen:

But I'm having trouble getting jhbuild itself to compile on osx.

Anyone know if there is a more recent doc describing how to build gimp for OSX?
