I was unaware until now that the Exiv2 site was down. I hope it's only
an intermittent problem. We've had no problems with them in the past.

Exiv2 is in C++. gexiv2 makes it look like C and offers some nice

By the way, we are having a bug
(https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=711242) that we believe is
not in GIMP nor in GExiv2, but in Exiv2 (since we can also see it from
the exiv2 command line tool). But the exiv2.org website seems down, as
well as what would be the tracker
(http://dev.exiv2.org/projects/exiv2/issues), according to some web
searching.
Do you know what's happening with the upstream project and how we can
report the bug there?
Thanks.

I am a GIMP dev. Since we now use GExiv2,
Excellent news! Just curious though: isn't GIMP written in C? If
so, why use
GExiv2 wrapper layer instead of libexiv2 directly?
