[gedit-list] File Association

Dear gEdit Team, 

Can you please create a File Extension for the Programs, so the text files that are created using gEdit in Linux Distributions can easily be Associated with the Windows version of gEdit. Perhaps, you can use an Extension like: ".ged" or ".gedit"; it's a pain having to always open the files manually. So, please try to work on this.
