My patch that you can find there

works on Python 3 and GNOME 3.8. It’s not really about features. You can 
look at changes on my github repository 
https://github.com/sphax3d/gedit-plugins/commits/sessionsaver-plugin

However, swilmet ask me to take a look to closed bugs that became 
obsolote because of the drop of the plugin, and bugs that requests new 
features. So I’m reviewing this patch 
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=616323 to include theses 
features, and one of theses is to save the current session 
automatically, without any user action.
