Hi Guys,

So I am Andrew, I have recently switched to gedit as my main text
editor (after being tempted by the fancy improvements in gedit 3.0 :D
) and am trying to a bit of work on gedit in the way of plugins etc.
so that I can 'make it my own'.

One thing I did was submit a patch a few days ago (
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=649070 ) but so far it
hasn't got any activity.

I don't mean to be rude, and if I am being to 'nagging' please tell
me, but how long normally does it take for a patch to be seen to, and
hopefully merged?

Thanks,

--
Andrew

Hello, and thanks all for this wonderfull application, for sure the most
efficient text editor, i've used

I was wondering if there was a way to copy/cut and paste files within
the file browser ? Also, is it possible to view all files in it, not
only the editable ones?

The idea behind is to get rid of nautilus for most operations...

txs,
Arnaud

Copy/paste is not possible, we explicitly do not want to replace a file "manager" (we are a text editor). We provide delete because it's relatively easy to implement (arguably we should not). The rationale being to use the right tool for the job.

You can view all files by checking 'View binary files' in the fb context menu.
