I'm trying to port my Symbol Browser plugin to Gedit 3 and the logging messages are not working anymore. Should I be spinning my wheels trying to figure out why or is there a reason (or better way) for debug messages in the new Python plugin framework?

I was using the Python logging module for debug messages and just change the level for a release.
